"I recently participated in a beta-test for a game called DrawRace, which just dropped on the app store, so I can finally talk about it. It’s developed by RedLynx, from
The goal of the game is to win a series of 20 diverse, top-down race tracks, reminiscent of the old skool arcade game, Super Sprint. The player accomplishes this, as its title suggests, by simply drawing the most efficient line for their car to follow, over a varying number of laps, to cross the finish line first. The player must guide their car through the curves and straightaways, while maintaining the optimal pace, which is controlled by the speed of their swipe. This prevents the tires from losing grip, which can cost valuable seconds and believe me, in this game...seconds matter.
Players have a number of options to play single or multiplayer locally; they can opt to race Time Trials against the clock, Ghost Mode versus their own best times, race against the AI, or race against their friends, head-to-head in Hot-Seat Multiplayer Mode. Players will likely spend most of their time in Network Mode, though, competing against Ghost Runs from players at the national level, or for a real challenge, against drivers from all across the globe. Players will find themselves racing tracks over and over, to shave a few tenths of a second off their time, in order to move up the Leaderboards for each track and demonstrate their driving prowess.
The gas gauge needs more granularity and it’s a bit top-heavy, there should be cross-track leaderboard that updates at app launch, and there are a few other minor issues, but all-in-all, this is a really solid game. Best of all, it’s only a buck! I would love to race against some of you guys, so if you pick up the game, I’ll watch for your sigs. If you do get the game, please take a minute to write up a review on the app store, because I think this game really deserves some recognition."

"It is the best pass and play multiplayer I have tried for the iPhone yet.
DrawRace took me by surprise, and showed me a completely new way of playing a racing game. And the great thing is that it really feels like racing, even though you only draw where the care should go. To me this is a must-buy! If you are out travelling with friends or family this summer you will have a whole lot of fun playing the local multiplayer."

"Overall, RedLynx has developed a winner with DrawRace. The game if beautifully simple, but laps and laps of fun. Single player mode is additively gripping, and multiplayer mode is an absolute blast. Don't get passed on this one, make the 99¢ pit stop and you'll come out in first place!"

"Draw Race really got my attention. A game, that since downloading, I haven't been able to keep my hands off. Every single tea break, dump and car journey has been gloriously spent trying to earn new trophies or win those last few remaining races."

"With 20 unique tracks, up to 3 player hot-swap on a single iPod, national and worldwide leaderboards as well as time trials and races against a computer opponent, dropping £0.59 on Draw Race is a no-brainer. What are you waiting for?"

"DrawRace has what every game should have; an ability to pick up and play quickly, and just the right amount of the "just one more try" factor that keeps you coming back. DrawRace is in the winner’s circle as my top game in the “draw your path” category."
